Every UDIN your firm generates, tied to the work it certifies

Every certificate, audit report and attestation a CA signs carries a UDIN from the ICAI portal. Generating it is the easy part. Months later, when a bank wants to verify a certificate or a reviewer asks for the trail, the questions are harder: which UDIN went with which document, for which client, signed by whom, and was any revoked? rulee.in keeps that register for you.

One register, beside the work

Each UDIN sits with its client, the document (a tax audit report, a net worth certificate, a Form 15CB), the document date, the date it was generated, who signed it, and the task it is tagged to. Active or revoked, with the date and the reason. One bar at the top shows what is tagged, what is still to tag and what was revoked.

No retyping from the portal

On the ICAI UDIN portal, open List UDIN and download it as Excel. Upload that file to rulee.in as it is: every UDIN is read with its document type, and any whose PAN matches no client is listed for you to set. Or paste many at once, one per line.

A report never goes out untagged

Switch on Needs a UDIN for a task; it is on by default for new audit and certification work. The task cannot be completed or invoiced until its UDIN is tagged. A red line on the register says how many tasks are waiting, with a link to each.

The UDIN register sits under Registers with the DSC register, client licences and the documents register. Each one imports from and exports to Excel. All four are on every plan of rulee.in, Free included; paid plans start at ₹899 a month for the whole firm.

Frequently asked questions

Does rulee.in generate UDINs?

No. UDINs are generated on the ICAI UDIN portal, as always. rulee.in records them, ties each one to its client and task, and imports the list you download from the portal.

Can I import the UDINs I already have?

Yes. Download List UDIN from the ICAI portal as Excel and upload the file as it is, or paste many UDINs at once, one per line, with the client name and document type if you have them.

Can a task be closed without its UDIN?

Not when Needs a UDIN is on for it. An audit or certificate task with the switch on cannot be completed or invoiced until a UDIN is tagged to it. It is on by default for new audit and certification work.

Is the UDIN register on the free plan?

Yes. All four registers, DSC, UDIN, licences and documents, are on every plan of rulee.in, Free included.
